Description: This year’s Member Forum will focus on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and its
implications for all SGO members in the years ahead. Attendees will hear from the
nationally recognized healthcare and payment reform expert, Harold D. Miller, regarding
the current state of the ACA and provide practical tips for members interested in
becoming more involved in their own practices, Accountable Care Organization.
During Mr. Miller’s “Town Hall” style presentation, past president Ronald D. Alvarez,
MD, will share how SGO is responding to the nation’s healthcare overhaul through
the Society’s Practice Summit project; a conditional based payment model for endometrial
cancer. Attendee interaction through question and floor discussion is highly
recommended.
