Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Zighelboim is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Services at Temple University School of Medicine. He received his medical degree (Magna Cum Laude) from Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1999. After graduation, Dr. Zighelboim practiced as a Primary Care Provider / Rural Physician in his native Venezuela as part of the standard requirement to obtain his unrestricted Venezuelan medical license. He then continued his medical training in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine, completing his four-year residency training in 2005. He obtained his fellowship training in Gynecologic Oncology at Washington University School of Medicine / Barnes Jewish Hospital from 2005 to 2008. He then became an Assistant Professor in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at Washington University School of Medicine / Barnes-Jewish Hospital. He joined the Section of Gynecologic oncology at St Luke’s University Hospital in September of 2012. He is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology and a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Zighelboim is a reviewer for the journals Gynecologic Oncology, Cancer Research, Clinical Cancer Research, Experimental and Molecular Pathology, Journal of Clinical Oncology and the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is author or co-author on over 40 peer-reviewed articles and has presented more than 40 abstracts at local and national scientific conferences."
