Biographical Sketch:
Dr. Monjri Shah is currently a second year fellow at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Although she decided on gynecologic oncology as her ultimate career path early in residency, she chose to delay applying for fellowship until her husband completed his fellowship. She graduated residency from Columbia University in 2009 and joined the faculty there. Her appointment was two-fold: she joined Dr. Jason Wright's lab as a research fellow and was a part-time generalist OB/GYN. She spent a total of two years as faculty at Columbia before starting as a gynecologic oncology fellow at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2011."
