Biographical Sketch:
Providing care to women has always been a focus of mine. My first position as a PA involved providing general gynecology and obstetrical care in clinic, but also included being first assist in the OR during general gynecology cases and gynecologic oncology cases. Currently, my role is clinical. I see patients in collaboration with my team of physicians in chemotherapy clinic and their general clinics. I also have an independent clinic which is comprised of surveillance visits, post-operative & chemotherapy complication evaluations, symptomatic evaluations for probable recurrence visits and sexual health survivorship visits. I have over 12 years of caring for women, and joined the University of Wisconsin Medical Foundation in 2006 to focus exclusively in the field of Gynecologic Oncology. Currently, I am the Society of Gynecologic Oncology 2012 Chair of the Mid-Level Provider Network and in March 2012 was awarded a Community Leadership Award from SGO. The award I am most proud of is the 2010 Wisconsin Physician Assistant of the Year, of which I share with my fellow physician assistant, Lori Seaborne. On my time away from work, I enjoy gardening with my husband and two sons, playing the piano, and attending multiple sporting events or concerts in which my children participate."
