Biographical Sketch:
Melissa Gerardi Fairbairn is a senior physician assistant in the Kelly Gynecologic Oncology Division at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. Melissa graduated from the Weill Cornell Medical College PA Program in New York City in 1996. She then went on to serve as a PA in General Surgery and Critical Care prior to joining the GYN Oncology service at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in 1999. Melissa remained there until 2005, at which time she transferred to Maryland and joined the GYN Oncology Service at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. Melissa not only helps manage patients in the inpatient and outpatient setting, but she also has shown an interest in clinical research. She has two first author publications and has collaborated on countless other research projects. Melissa helped managed the Ovarian Cancer Center of Excellence at Johns Hopkins along with Dr Robert Bristow from 2005-2009. She is an active SGO Allied Health member and has served on the SGO Allied Health Leadership Committee as well as the SGO Practice Management Summit."
