Biographical Sketch:
Teresa Diaz-Montes, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She has been part of the Kelly Gynecologic Oncology Service since 2006. Dr. Diaz-Montes specializes in treatment of cancers of the female genital system including ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar and vaginal cancers. She is Director of chemotherapy in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology and oversees the treatment of patients with gynecologic malignancies. Her main areas of interest are population based studies evaluating access to care, racial and age disparities among gynecologic oncology, quality improvement in gynecologic oncology, and geriatrics in gynecologic oncology. Recently, she has been working in development of survivorship program within the division. The main focus is to study how patient navigators improve patients experience and the impact on patients' outcomes."
